    What is ´a·pos·tro·phe?

On stage, an apostrophe occurs when a character seemingly strays from her dialogue with other characters and addresses the audience. These asides, usually short and few, are significant parts of the play because they elucidate crucial aspects and emphasize significant nuances. This ´a·pos·tro·phe seeks to become a collection of such aberrations from the regular stream of consciousness that life is and represent the nascent and burgeoning ideas, opinions and creative efforts of the contemporary intelligentsia. The inspiration behind this effort is a belief that such pauses and deviations from what is regular and common cannot and should not be dismissed summarily but dwelt on, played with and further developed.

There is no other theme for ´a·pos·tro·phe. What ´a·pos·tro·phe is looking for in submissions is limitless and only bounded by the stretch of imagination of its contributors. Submissions selected for publication will reflect and represent the pauses, asides, deviations and aberrations from what is common, regular, banal and hackneyed. What ´a·pos·tro·phe is not seeking are topics, themes and ideas exhaustively covered elsewhere. In essence, ´a·pos·tro·phe seeks to be a field where novel and bewildering gems can be planted by some and discovered by others.
